  "Good things come to those who wait…" an apt saying for Danny Howells, a turntable maestro with ten years experience under his belt. The last two years have seen this Hastings bred talent rise through the ranks to be accorded the position of number 10 in DJ Magazine's latest poll.These years of dedication and an unrivalled attention to detail have earned Danny a place among the big boys of the club World after honing his talents the hard way. 

  Danny Howells' is one of the few DJs on the scene today that truly has a style of his own. It is a sound developed through playing warm up sets, main sets, alternative sets, playing countless venues, in countless countries the World over. Now, Danny's own brand of "deepsexyfuturistictechfunkhouse" has caught the imagination of the planets dancefloors. It is for this reason Howells is monthly resident at NYC's finest, 'Vinyl '; home of the 'Danny 10-hour special' , as well as a sought after guest for every cool club under the Sun.

  Danny's well thought out and meticulously mixed sets can be heard on his own album series, 'Nocturnal Frequencies" ( 3 volumes) and Nu Breed ( Global Underground) . He has also released albums in the USA and Holland. His last mix project for Renaissance was recently voted 'Best Compilation 2001' by Mixer Magazine ( US). There is an innovative new mix album project in the pipeline with a distinct US flavour, and will demonstrate Danny's broad musical tastes more than his previous releases.

 

  Back home , Danny's production skills are being gradually honed. His main focus, is Science Dept. with co-producer Dick Trevor. Their third single 'Breathe', featuring the soulful vocals of Eririe was a Radio 1 and club favourite. There is also another guise, 'Kinkyfunk' the first track of which has been licensed to Yoshitoshi and is due out in March 2002 .He has also just completed a collaborative track with Dutch wizard Stef (Paco,Stef and Frederick) and there are more killer tracks on the way in various different genres and guises . Plans are afoot for the fourth Science Dept. single and some interesting guest performers are waiting on the sidelines. Expect a big surprise soon as Danny gets soulful and downright funky under yet another guise!
